These maps and topos are for some bouldering areas in Northern India. The superb and extensive bouldering in a high Himalayan valley in the Spiti lahaul district of Himachal Pradesh with general information about going there also. The season for climbing and bouldering is between June and October. From October onwards snow can arrive any time and the road over Rohtang pass blocked. This may be the last year (2008) that the valley is unspoilt as a hydro dam project is planned to start soon. Some areas will be unaffected by the project anyway but it will still have a massive impact. Solang is in a different district down in the kullu valley and is a very small area good for just a day or two whilst acclimatising as its on the way up to the Rohtang and Spiti Lahaul
