This year was my best so far for new boulders with good problems in the old roadside areas like Chota Dara/Kyara also. The best though I have to get to by walking now and Chota Shigari/Sara Umga areas are fantastic places with so many quality boulders. Its a 2 day walk in and many rivers to cross on the way but well worth it!! Bara shigari also turned up great boulders in a completely wild place and the coldest and most windy in the valley next to this huge monster of a glacier. With bitter cold conditions in october and with no stove or tent I was looking for horse shit all the time and really psyched for the boulders. Then I slogged up the glacier one day to find even more stuff, getting close to 5000m there. The quality of the boulders, the perfect rock, the feel of the holds, the ultimate beauty of the place, everything combines to make a transcendental experience which I can't forget.
